LUM Follies Raises $10,000+ for the Good Samaritan Fund.

The second annual LUM Good Samaritan Fund Follies exceeded everyone’s expectations. The LUM Board of Directors are thrilled to report the 2013 LUM Follies raised more than $10,000 for the Good Samaritan Fund at the Lafayette Urban Ministry.

Close to 200 enjoyed bidding on tantalizing Silent Auction baskets and items, enjoyed a tasty meal and a fine Follies show, and really enjoyed the fellowship of each other’s company.

Follies 1-3

You can see by the photos that it was a memorable evening, and the variety show known as “Follies” was very entertaining. The best part is all of the proceeds go to a fund dedicated to benefiting the LUM Good Samaritan Program.

Thanks to all who attended and support LUM and the LUM Good Samaritan Program. For more information on the Good Samaritan Program — click HERE.

LUM Follies – A Word of Appreciation

Many people helped make LUM Follies a joyous expression of our 41 years of ministry together at LUM. We wish to express our appreciation to Rev. Tim Burchill and the staff and congregation of Saint Andrew United Methodist Church for being such gracious hosts. And thanks to Boy Scout Troop 335 for setting up and taking down tables and chairs. And we are most grateful to Eileen Hession Weiss for directing this evening’s show and to each of our Follies performers for taking the time and effort to share their considerable talents with us. Follies cover was designed by Thomas Decker, Central Catholic High School senior.

Thanks also to the members of the planning committee: Cathy Potter, Patty Useem, Joan Low, Nita Cunningham and Deb Parent as well as LUM Staff members: Mary Anderson, Eileen Hession Weiss, Sylvia Mohler, Linda Hicks and Joe Micon.
